CHICAGO (AP) -Freshman Antionette Howard scored 16 points to help No. 18 Florida State beat Florida International 70-50 on Saturday night in the second game of the DePaul Invitational.
Mara Freshour added 15 points for the Seminoles (3-1).
Trailing 39-38, Florida State went on a 9-0 run, sparked by Cayla Moore. Freshour's 3-pointer gave the Seminoles a 47-39 lead. Florida State extended its lead to 64-47 with 4:06 left that put the game out of reach.
Iva Ciglar scored 12 points and Marquita Adley had 10 points and 16 rebounds to lead Florida International (1-2).
