CANCUN, Mexico (AP) -Allyssa DeHaan scored 23 points to help No. 19 Michigan State hold off Kansas State 68-65 on Thursday night in the Cancun Challenge.

The 6-foot-9 sophomore also had seven rebounds and five blocked shots. Kalisha Keane added 19 points for the Spartans (4-1).

Kari Kincaid hit six 3-pointers and finished with 18 points to keep the Wildcats (2-3) in the game. Kimberly Dietz added 16 points.

Michigan State jumped out to a 20-14 lead, but Kincaid made four of her 3s in the last 4:53 of the half to help the Wildcats take a 32-27 lead at the half.

The Spartans rallied to take a 61-54 advantage and hit free throws down the stretch to seal the victory.
