No. 13 Texas A&amp,M 68, TCU 58

12/2/2007 4:56 PM

FORT WORTH, Texas (AP) -A'Quonesia Franklin scored 19 points, including three 3-pointers in the game-turning run, and No. 13 Texas A&M went on to a 68-58 victory over TCU on Sunday.

Patrice Reado's layup with 17:37 left in the game tied the game at 32, and started a 21-4 run for the Aggies (6-1). Franklin hit a tiebreaking 3-pointer on the next possession to put Texas A&M ahead to stay, then made another with 10 minutes left to stretch the lead to 50-36.

Takia Starks led A&M with 24 points, eight rebounds and five assists. Reado had 17 points.

Micaela Younger had 21 points and 11 rebounds for TCU (3-4), which has won 23 of its last 26 home games. Moneka Knight had 12 points and Lori Butler-Rayford had 11.

TCU cut the gap to 53-50 when Butler-Rayford hit a 3-pointer followed by Knight making a layup and a free throw with 5:18 left. Reado then hit a basket for the Aggies.

When Butler-Rayford made another basket to get TCU to 55-52, Starks responded with a basket and the Frogs never got closer.

It was only the second time the former Southwest Conference rivals had played since the end of that league in 1996. TCU upset the Aggies in the first round of the 2006 NCAA tournament, but A&M has still won 28 of the last 30 meetings.
