PRINCETON, N.J. (AP) -Kelsey Adrian scored 11 of her 13 points in the second half and had nine rebounds, leading No. 11 California to a 68-42 win over Princeton on Saturday night.

Devanei Hampton, the reigning Pac-10 Player of the Year, played in her first game this season and had nine points and two rebounds in 12 minutes. She had arthroscopic knee surgery on Nov. 9.

Lauren Grief added nine points and five assists for the Golden Bears (8-1).

Meagan Cowher had 10 points on 5-for-16 shooting to lead the Tigers (3-7), who had trouble with California's defense. Princeton made just 32.1 percent of their shots and was outrebounded 49-26 by the Golden Bears.

The two teams were evenly matched in the first half, but California overcame nine turnovers to take a 27-22 lead at the break. The Golden Bears then took command of the game with a 10-4 run to start the second half, including eight points by Adrian.

Princeton rallied midway through the second half, cutting the deficit to 39-31, but California then sealed the win by scoring 20 of the game's next 25 points.

California, which is in the midst of an East Coast swing, will play No. 4 Rutgers on Monday.
