ROCHESTER, Mich. (AP) -Olayinka Sanni had 29 points and 10 rebounds and Meg Bulger scored 21 as No. 13 West Virginia beat Oakland 84-65 Monday night for its seventh straight win.
West Virginia (10-1) has not lost since losing to top-ranked Tennessee on Nov. 21.
Oakland (6-3) fell to 1-3 against ranked teams - the Golden Grizzlies lost close games to No. 16 Auburn and No. 7 Georgia in November, then beat then-No. 21 Florida State on Dec. 2.
Freshman Anna Patritto led the Golden Grizzlies wth 17 points while Jessica Pike and Hanna Reising scored 13 each.
West Virginia led 23-6 after the first 6 minutes, hitting nine of its first 10 shots, but Oakland was able to put together a rally later in the half.
The Golden Grizzlies trailed 42-30 at the intermission, helped by 11 points by Pike.
Sanni had 16 points in 16 minutes for the Mountaineers. Bulger then scored 10 points in the first four minutes of the second half, helping West Virginia build a 58-38 advantage.
Oakland got as close as 13 in the final 2 minutes, but never seriously threatened the Mountaineers.
