DENTON, Texas (AP) -Andrea Riley scored 27 points and No. 20 Oklahoma State beat North Texas 77-55 on Wednesday night to rebound from its first loss of the season a night earlier.
After losing to TCU on Tuesday, Oklahoma State had its hands full in the opening minutes against North Texas. North Texas led by six points after nine minutes, but the Cowgirls scored the next eight points to take an 18-17 lead and never trailed again.
Oklahoma State (9-1) scored the final eight points of the first half to lead 36-26 at halftime. The Cowgirls pulled away in the second half, starting with a 25-14 run over the first 10 minutes.
Danielle Green scored 19 points for Oklahoma State. Shaunte' Smith led the Cowgirls with 10 rebounds. Riley went 14-for-16 from the free throw line.
Erica Howard came off the bench to lead North Texas with 17 points and nine rebounds. Jo Hall added 14 points and six assists, while Yari Escalera had 10 points.
North Texas (5-7) have now lost five straight.
Oklahoma State outrebounded North Texas 41-34.
