ATLANTA (AP) -Jessica Canady scored a career-high 21 points to lead No. 19 Old Dominion to a 79-59 win over Georgia State on Sunday in the Colonial Athletic Association opener for both teams.
Brittany Hollins led GSU (3-9) with a career-best 25 points. Shahida Williams added 12 points and eight rebounds for the Panthers.
The Lady Monarchs built a 35-24 halftime lead and broke the game open after Georgia State cut the deficit to 45-37 with 12:32 to play by going on a 12-2 run. Shay Rawls added 13 points and seven rebounds for Old Dominion.
