WILMINGTON, N.C. (AP) - Tiffany Green scored 21 points to lead No. 18 Old Dominion to a 67-55 victory against North Carolina-Wilmington on Wednesday night, the Monarchs' 35th straight win in the series.
T.J. Jordan added 16 points and Megan Pym added 12 for the Monarchs (11-3, 2-0 Colonial Athletic Association), who took the lead for good in the opening minutes and led by 15 in winning their fifth straight game and for the eighth time in nine games.
Old Dominion shot 44 percent, made 5-for-10 attempts from 3-point range, outrebounded UNC Wilmington 37-30 and denied the Seahawks their first victory in the series.
Sasha Taylor had 19 points and gave the Seahawks their only lead by scoring two quick baskets to start the game. The Monarchs responded with a 26-7 run that gave them a 15-point lead - their largest of the game.
