ATHENS, Ga. (AP) -Tasha Humphrey scored a season-high 25 points and No. 12 Georgia snapped out of its recent malaise with a 71-53 victory over Alabama on Sunday.

A loss would have given Georgia a three-game losing streak for only the fourth time during Andy Landers' 29-plus seasons as coach.

But playing at home against a young Alabama team, Georgia never had much reason to worry. Georgia (15-3, 2-2 Southeastern Conference) won its 16th consecutive home game and 13th straight against the Crimson Tide, dating to 1999.

Alabama (8-11, 1-3) lost its third straight.

Angel Robinson added 12 points and 14 rebounds for the Lady Bulldogs, who stumbled in recent weeks after starting the season 13-0.

Camilla Blands had a team-high 16 points for Alabama.

But Georgia responded with a 15-6 run and led 34-26 at the break.

After trailing by double digits early in the second half, Alabama cut the deficit to eight on Blands' 3-pointer with eight minutes left. But Humphrey answered with a 3-pointer of her own on Georgia's next possession.
