LAWRENCE, Kan. (AP) -Takia Sparks scored 17 points and Danielle Gant added 14 points and 12 rebounds to lead No. 21 Texas A&M to a 58-51 win over Kansas on Saturday night.

Texas A&M (14-6, 2-4 Big 12) trailed 41-39 midway through the second half before Morenike Atunrase scored six of her 12 second-half points that ignited a 15-2 run and gave the Aggies a commanding 54-43 lead.

Kansas (12-7, 1-5) fell to 0-4 against ranked opponents despite holding Texas A&M to 33 percent shooting from the field.

The Jayhawks committed 21 turnovers, more than their 19.6 average, which ranks last in the Big 12. The Aggies, who turned the ball over 30 times in a 70-63 loss at Nebraska on Wednesday, committed only eight turnovers and had a 23-9 lead in points off turnovers.

Sparks, who entered the game third in the Big 12 at 17.3 points per game, hit only five of 15 shots from the field, but hit two 3-pointers and 3-of-4 free throws.

Atunrase finished with 15 points for Texas A&M, which was the preseason pick to win the Big 12 but had lost four of five games to open conference play.

Danielle McCray hit a late 3-pointer to finish with 11 points on only 4-of-14 shooting to lead the Jayhawks. LaChelda Jacobs and Sade Morris each had 10 points for Kansas, which ranks last in the conference in scoring at only 62.3 points.
