NORMAL, Ill. (AP) - Kelsey Woodard scored a game-high 20 points to help Creighton edge Illinois State in a 75-71 upset on Saturday.

Sara Cain, Kristina Voss and Ally Thrall chipped in 10 points apiece for the Bluejays (13-5, 6-3 Missouri Valley).

The Redbirds (18-2, 8-1 MVC) took a slim 31-29 lead into the half, but couldn't keep up as Creighton surged in the second, leading by as many as 10 points with 4:39 left in the second.

Maggie Krick hit 3-of-3 free throws and led the Redbirds with 17 points. Ashleen Bracey added 12 points and a team-high six rebounds for Illinois State. Shala Jackson added another 12 on 5-of-7 shooting.
