WASHINGTON (AP) -Kieraah Marlow scored 19 points, Shanice Fuller added 16 and Georgetown beat No. 22 Syracuse 78-71 on Saturday for its first win over a ranked opponent in four years.

Monica Fuller had 13 points and Aminata Diop added 11 for Georgetown (12-9, 2-6 Big East), whose last win against an opponent in The Associated Press' Top 25 came on Jan. 17, 2004, over No. 23 Virginia Tech.

Syracuse (17-4, 5-3) was playing its third game since earning its first Top 25 ranking in the program's history. It was the Orange's first loss this season to a team not currently ranked.

Nicole Michael led Syracuse with 16 points. Fantasia Goodwin had 14, and Vaida Sipaviciute and Vionca Murray had 11 points each.

Georgetown led most of the game, and never trailed in the final 10 minutes.

Syracuse played much of the second half without Chandrea Jones, the team's leading scorer. Jones was whistled for an offensive foul, her fourth, with 16:38 left in the game. The foul sent her to the bench for about 12 minutes. She finished with nine points, seven in the final three minutes.

Georgetown showed Syracuse it would be a tough matchup early. Georgetown used a 12-0 run to take a nine-point lead with 7 1/2 minutes left in the first half, but Syracuse tied it 29-all at halftime.

The score went back and forth in the second half, but the Hoyas used a 6-0 run to take a 55-50 lead with 8 minutes to go, and held the lead until the end.
