WASHINGTON (AP) -Jessica Adair scored 27 points to lead No. 14 George Washington to a 78-51 win over Richmond on Sunday.

Kim Beck added 18 points, Antelia Parrish 12 and Sarah-Jo Lawrence 10 for George Washington (19-4, 7-1 Atlantic 10). The Colonials narrowly missed having all five starters reach double figures in scoring; Whitney Allen had eight points.

Brittani Shells scored 21 points for Richmond (11-12, 4-4), and Danielle Bell had 13. The Spiders' second-leading scorer this season, Johanna McKnight, fouled out with 8 minutes left in the game and had just six points.

It was the 501st career victory for George Washington coach Joe McKeown, who was honored before the game and with a halftime video tribute for his 500th victory, which came in the Colonials' 73-65 win at Duquesne on Feb. 2.

Richmond had as many turnovers (16) as points in the first half, with George Washington taking a 39-16 lead. For the game, the Colonials scored 28 points off 24 turnovers.

George Washington was 23-of-28 from the free throw line, setting season highs for free throws made and percentage (82.1). Adair was 11-of-12 from the line.

The 27-point margin of victory was the largest for George Washington in a conference game this season.
