AMHERST, Mass. (AP) -Jessica Adair scored 14 points to lead four George Washington players in double figures and the 14th-ranked Colonials beat Massachusetts 69-45 on Wednesday night.

The Colonials played without starting point guard Kimberly Beck, who was sick, ending her streak of 107 starts and 119 games played.

But George Washington (20-4, 8-1 Atlantic 10) didn't miss a beat. The Colonials won their 20th game for the ninth straight season and 17th of the last 18 seasons.

Whitney Allen had 13 points and 11 rebounds for the Colonials while Sarah Jo Lawrence scored 12 and Jasmine Adair added 11.

George Washington dominated the glass, outrebounding the Minutewomen, 43-26.

Kate Mills led UMass with 17 points and six rebounds, while Teya Wright had eight points and 10 boards.

George Washington opened the game on a 10-1 run as the Minutewomen missed their first six shots, but Mills helped keep UMass, also missing its starting point guard, close for most of the first half.

Allen made all six shots from the field in the first half and scored the Colonials' last nine first half points as they took a 42-31 lead at intermission. The momentum carried into the second half as UMass had no answer for the 6-foot-4 Jessica Adair inside. An early 11-0 run stretched GW's edge to 53-33, putting the game out of reach.
