TOWSON, Md. (AP) -Megan Pym had 15 points and 12 rebounds to help No. 13 Old Dominion win its 16th consecutive game with a 73-61 victory over Towson on Sunday.
The Monarchs (22-3, 13-0 Colonial Athletic Association) have won 19 of their past 20 games and have beaten the Tigers in 11 straight meetings. Towson (16-8, 8-5) dropped to fourth place in the conference with five regular season games remaining.
Holly Mahan scored 15 points, Shanae Baker-Brice added 12 and Jamell Beasley finished with 10 for Towson.
Jazzmin Walters scored 12 points and had five steals, Jasmine Parker had 11 points and Jessica Canady had 10 for the Monarchs.
Old Dominion methodically built its lead in the first half, and a 3-pointer by Jen Nuzzo put the Monarchs ahead 27-14 with 6:03 left. The Monarchs scored 15 points off 15 Towson turnovers and led 39-24 at halftime. Old Dominion's bench outscored Towson, 19-2.
Towson cut the lead to 49-43 with 11:56 left in the game on a 3-pointer by Mahan. However, the Monarchs rebuilt the lead to 56-48 with 7:30 remaining on a layup by Walters. Towson never came within 10 points the rest of the way
