COLUMBIA, Mo. (AP) -Ashley Sweat and Kimberly Dietz each scored 15 points and No. 17 Kansas State held its lead in the Big 12 Conference with a 56-39 win over Missouri on Sunday.

(AP Photo/Mark Humphrey)After taking over first place in the Big 12 on Wednesday with a win over Iowa State and a Baylor loss to Texas, the Wildcats needed a win to remain there after the No. 8 Lady Bears beat No. 10 Oklahoma 79-59 earlier in the day.

It wasn't easy for Kansas State (18-6, 10-1 Big 12) as the Wildcats shot just 37 percent in the first half and led by only six points at the break.

(AP Photo/Mark Humphrey)Sweat scored seven points in the first seven minutes of the second half, Dietz made three 3-pointers and reserve Shana Wheeler scored her only six points in the same span to help extend the lead to 48-32 midway through the half.

The Tigers (8-16, 1-10), losers of nine straight, shot a season-low 22 percent. Leading scorer Alyssa Hollins, who averages 15 points, struggled from the floor, shooting 5-for-19 with 14 points. Jessra Johnson recorded her fourth double-double of the season with 13 points and 12 rebounds.

Missouri went more than seven minutes in the second half without scoring a point, after which Kansas State led 51-34.
