ATHENS, Ga. (AP) -Tasha Humphrey scored 22 points and No. 24 Georgia overcame a nine-minute drought without a field goal to beat Auburn 68-56 on Sunday.

DeWanna Bonner led Auburn (18-9, 6-6 SEC) with 20 points, and Sherell Hobbs added 14.

Trailing by 21, the Lady Tigers trimmed the deficit to six as Georgia (20-7, 7-5) went cold from the field. Humphrey finally ended the drought with 2 minutes left with two field goals to seal the game.

Auburn led 6-4 early on, but Georgia scored the next 18 points over an 8-minute stretch, capped by Angel Robinson's jumper from the top of the lane, to take a 22-6 lead with 9:38 left in the first half.

Georgia extended the lead to 34-15 with 3:02 left on Christy Marshall's steal and layup but failed to score again in the half. The Lady Tigers managed one field goal and four free throws to close to within 34-21 at the half.

The Lady Bulldogs held a comfortable margin early in the second, building to a 53-32 lead with 9:06 to go when Humphrey hit a pair of free throws.

But Auburn followed with a 12-0 run, closing to within 53-44 on a layup by Sherell Hobbs. Bonner capped another 6-0 moments later to bring Auburn within six at 57-51 with 2:30 remaining.

Humphrey's 22 points moved her into second place on the career scoring chart at Georgia, four points ahead of Katrina McClain's 2,195 points. Janet Harris holds the career scoring record with 2,641 points.
