POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y. (AP) -Meg Dahlman and Nikki Flores scored 17 points apiece to lead No. 25 Marist to a 71-58 win over St. Peter's in Mid Atlantic Athletic Conference basketball Saturday night.
The teams traded points through most of the game until Marist's Lynzee Johnson worked her way inside for two points to break a 50-all deadlock with 6:11 left to play. That ignited a 21-8 Marist run the rest of the way to clinch the win.
Johnson finished with 12 points and a game-high seven rebounds, with Rachele Fitz adding 16 in the win.
The Red Foxes (28-2, 18-0) won their fourth straight against St. Peter's (18-11, 10-8), including their second victory over the Peahens in four days.
Tania Kennedy led St. Peter's with a game-high 18 points, while Johnell Burts added 16.
In the first half, the teams traded five straight 3-pointers over the final 3:38 before heading to the break tied 23-23.
St. Peter's took a 46-45 lead when Burts sank a 3-pointer at the 9-minute mark, but Marist's Sarah Smrdel answered from long range 28 seconds later to erase the Peahens' final advantage of the night.
