PHILADELPHIA (AP) - Jessica Adair scored 12 points, Kimberly Beck added 11 points, six assists and five steals and No. 13 George Washington breezed past Rhode Island 70-43 in a quarterfinal round game of the Atlantic 10 tournament on Saturday night.

Whitney Allen and Sarah-Jo Lawrence each scored 10 points for the second-seeded Colonials (25-5). George Washington will face the winner of the quarterfinal round game between Xavier and Saint Joseph's on Sunday.

The Colonials won their fifth straight after beating Saint Louis, Saint Joseph's, Richmond and Fordham to close out the A-10 regular season at 12-2. George Washington finished tied with Temple in the conference, but its 68-66 loss to the Owls on Jan. 19 relegated the Colonials to the No. 2 seed.

Amanda McGrew led Rhode Island (13-18) with nine points. LaQuanda Brandon added seven.

George Washington raced to a 36-17 halftime lead and pushed its advantage to 28 points in the second half on the way to their 14th straight win over the Rams. This win was much easier than the Colonials' 48-45 comeback victory on Jan. 16.

Adair, a junior, raised her career scoring total to 995 points, five shy of becoming the 25th player in school history to reach the 1,000-point milestone.

George Washington shot 24-for-55 (44 percent) from the field, including 5-for-10 from 3-point range.

The Rams shot just 31 percent (16-of-51) and connected on 4 of 13 3-point shots. They also committed 23 turnovers.
