NEW HAVEN, Conn. (AP) -Melissa Colborne had 16 points to help Yale beat Harvard 64-58 on Saturday night and deny the Crimson the Ivy League title outright.

Harvard fell into a three-way tie with Cornell and Dartmouth atop the Ivy League. Cornell beat Princeton and Dartmouth topped Brown to force the tie.

Without a postseason tournament, the league's bid to the NCAA tournament will be determined by playoff games this week with one team getting a bye.

It's the second time in three seasons that the league has finished in a three-way tie. In 2006, Brown, Dartmouth and Princeton all shared the title. Dartmouth beat both teams to win the playoff. The Ivy League has needed to goto a playoff on three other occasions. Dartmouth has been involved in each one of them.

Colborne gave Yale (9-18, 7-7) the lead for good on a pair of free throws with 3:24 left, part of a 8-2 run to put the Bulldogs up 59-54.

Harvard (18-10) closed to 59-58 with 29.1 seconds left. But after Yale's Stephanie Marciano missed a pair of free throws, teammate Ashley Carter grabbed the offensive rebound and made her pair after being fouled with 23.8 seconds left.

Liz Tindal had one last chance to tie the game for Harvard, but her 3-point shot missed the mark with 10 seconds left. Yale made three more free throws to clinch the win.

Haywood Wright had 14 points, including 10 of 13 from the free-throw line, for Yale. Lindsay Hallion led the Crimson with 15 points while teammate Jessica Knox added 12 points and Katie Rollins had 11 points and 13 rebounds.
